Dr. Lyndsay Clarke DVM
Dr. Lyndsay Clarke was born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas. She moved to Ontario to complete secondary school in 2004 and has since completed her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Biology in 2011 at the University of Guelph and most recently her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 from the Ontario Veterinary College.
Dr. Lyndsay has special interests in veterinary surgery, dentistry, and diagnostic imaging. She has spent many summers working in private practice in Canada and the Bahamas. Outreach and community involvement is important to Dr. Lyndsay; she has volunteered with various spay and neuter programs throughout the Islands and assisted in Veterinary Outreach Programs within the GTA to help underprivileged individuals with animal care.
Her hobbies include anything involving sports! She loves to play sports and is an avid follower of her favourite professional teams. She loves spending downtime with a good book and her “furrkids”. Dr. Lyndsay has recently married her husband Curtis and the two have moved to Kingston with their cats Abbey and Birk (rescue pup soon to come). She is looking forward to practicing veterinary medicine with the Upper Canada Group in her “new home” of Kingston!
Dr. Julie Reed DVM
Dr. Julie Reed grew up on a hobby farm outside of Peterborough where her love of animals began at an early age (thanks to the assorted cats, dogs and horses that were always around!). She completed an undergraduate degree at McMaster University before pursuing veterinary medicine at the University of Guelph where she graduated in 2018. She started working for Upper Canada Veterinary Group Inc. shortly after graduation and has loved her time here in Kingston, especially exploring the water and various hiking trails. She particularly enjoys the relationships she has the privilege to form with clients and getting to support her patients throughout their lives, from puppy/kitten visits onwards. When she is not at work, you can probably find her reading a good book, baking or hanging out with her menagerie (which currently includes a cantankerous cat named Izzy, a retired service dog named Gillian and 3 horses).
Dr. Lisa Vander Wilp DVM
Dr Lisa Vander Wilp grew up on pig farm in Carlisle, Ontario where she helped with barn chores and tamed with barn cats. She had the opportunity to work as an assistant in a veterinary clinic through high school where she was mentored and encourage to train as a veterinarian. After graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2002, she and her husband moved to eastern Ontario where she had the opportunity to work in a rural mixed animal practice. With the arrival of their first child, they moved to Kingston where Lisa has enjoyed continuing to practice veterinary medicine and feels privileged to provide care to the pets and clients in her community. Kingston has been a wonderful community in which to raise a family, with opportunities for all the members of our family to participate in soccer, kayaking, cycling, hiking, church and volunteering.
