Dr. Julie Reed DVM

Dr. Julie Reed grew up on a hobby farm outside of Peterborough where her love of animals began at an early age (thanks to the assorted cats, dogs and horses that were always around!). She completed an undergraduate degree at McMaster University before pursuing veterinary medicine at the University of Guelph where she graduated in 2018. She started working for Upper Canada Veterinary Group Inc. shortly after graduation and has loved her time here in Kingston, especially exploring the water and various hiking trails. She particularly enjoys the relationships she has the privilege to form with clients and getting to support her patients throughout their lives, from puppy/kitten visits onwards. When she is not at work, you can probably find her reading a good book, baking or hanging out with her menagerie (which currently includes a cantankerous cat named Izzy, a retired service dog named Gillian and 3 horses).

Dr. Sarah Edwards DVM

Dr. Sarah Edwards was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario.  She graduated from Queen’s University in 2011 with a BScH in Life Sciences, specializing in microbiology and immunology research. For the LOVE of animals big and small, I have always had a passion to be involved with animal lives. Animals bring me joy and happiness.  I grew up on a farm, work on a farm and have always had animals around me.  Veterinary medicine is another way in which I feel connected, as when an animal is in need or helpless it feels great to be able to support them and nurse them to better health.  My career path as a Registered Veterinary technologist began over 25 years ago.  As well being able to communicate and help others understand the requirements for animals is very rewarding for me.

    Jenna Doner

Hi! My name is Jenna. I can’t remember a time I didn’t love animals. Working at the OSPCA increased my love and passion for animals so I enrolled at SLC for Veterinary Technology. I’ve been with the UCGVI team for almost two years now and I’m so grateful to be apart of such a great organization. I’m always looking for new ways and ideas to help our clients and patients. The other techs will usually find me in the cage with patients in hospital giving them a good snuggle. I share my home with my two dogs, Annie and Marlie, 3 cats, Emma, Marvel and Ducky and my bunny Peaches.
